What a blast the TNNA was! Jen and I had so much fun - and so much yarn to see - I got a lot of great ideas and I wish I could bring it all to the shop. There were over 1700 booths!! Friday we went to the Retailer's Luncheon and then there was a guest speaker....probably boring for Jennifer, but I liked it. After that we had about 3 hours to kill before the Sample It! sale. I forgot my toothbrush, anyway, so we went on an hour long walk downtown Columbus. We didn't find out until Saturday that we totally walked in the opposite direction from the really cool part of Columbus - oh well, we discovered some neat things anyway, and we were trying to be "open and free" when we travel, just like Ysolda. I always like federal buildings - there just so a part of history, and we don't build buildings like this anymore.
We discovered this cool building on the walk home. We assumed it was some sort of museum, but we're not sure. I'm just glad the picture turned out so cool!
Saturday night we went to a Stitch N' Pitch event at Columbus' minor league baseball team, the Columbus Clippers. It was a beautiful night and it's always fun to see people's reactions to a bunch of women knitting at a baseball game. Jen and I decided to skip the shuttle bus home and just walk back to the hotel. Lucky us! We happened upon a street festival - similar to River Splash and we caught a local band, Saving Jane, playing and they were really good!
So, we decide to get a martini back at the hotel and we see Cookie A. - one of Jennifer's sock knitting idols!
